CurryCups Sliders
Equipment
- Air fryer
- Mixing bowls
- Meat shredder tool (or forks) for shredding
- Knife and cutting board
- Baking sheet or aluminum baking pan
- Foil
- Measuring spoons and cups
- Spatula or spoon for mixing
Ingredients
- 1 jar of CurryCups
- A pinch of salt
- 1 pack of Hawaiian rolls
- 3-4 chicken breast halves, slit in the middle
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 12 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 - 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ red onion, finely chopped
- A handful of fresh cilantro, chopped
- Optional - 1/4 to 1/2 cayenne pepper or chili powder
Directions
Marinate the chicken: Coat the chicken breast halves with CurryCups, adding 1 tbsp at a time, based on your preferred flavor strength. Season with cayenne pepper (or chili powder) and a pinch of salt.
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil. Arrange the marinated chicken breasts in the basket, making sure they are not overcrowded.
Cook the chicken: Air fry for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then shred it with a fork.
Prepare the filling: In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped red onion, mayonnaise, shredded mozzarella, and fresh cilantro. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
Assemble the sliders: Slice the Hawaiian rolls to separate the top and bottom sections, but do not separate the individual rolls. Place the bottom halves on a nonstick baking sheet or in an aluminum pan.
Layer the cheese and chicken: Place a slice of sharp cheddar cheese on each bottom bun. Evenly spread the chicken mixture over the cheese.
Top and bake: Place the top buns over the chicken mixture. Cover the pan with foil and bake at 325°F for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
Serve: Cut the rolls into individual sliders and enjoy!
Chef's Tip
Add a few dashes of hot sauce to the chicken mixture before baking for a spicy kick, or serve with a dipping sauce on the side for extra flavor.
